I preface this review by confirming that I understand this restaurant is in a tourist trap area, and that I attempted to dine here on a Saturday evening. Definitely, a place on Gulf Shores for a special occasion. The restaurant was so generous surprising me with a complimentary birthday cupcake at the end, which was unexpected and kind. More needs to be added to the house salad - the champagne vinaigrette dressing was great, but a restaurant of this caliber needs a few special accompaniments on the salad to match the high quality and atmosphere of this restaurant. The house salad was the only element that needs improvement by the restaurant - it was very underwhelming and beyond basic. The only downsides of this place are no reserve seating (first come, first served) so the wait times can be long and the prices were high, but we did find delicious everything that we ate so that is why I still gave 5 stars for value. ![]() Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, including my son who ordered the "beast burger" (made of elk, boar & wagyu) that he described as the best hamburger he'd ever had. I ordered the evening's house special: redfish in a kumquat jelly and it was delicious. When we dine here again, I am going to opt for the more elaborate Caesar salad instead of the house salad (which was literally just lettuce, a single slice of cucumber, a single red onion slice, and a teensy pickled small pepper). eat either outside on a pretty courtyard with a water view or inside. We let the restaurant know of our celebration and they found us a gorgeous spot inside to dine overlooking the marina/water area and allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake. We had dinner at the Cobalt to celebrate a special birthday. The restaurant is quite a lot more expensive than most other local restaurants but the food is worth saving up for on your "splurge night". I can't really speak about the restaurant environment, staff or other offering since we ate the food at our hotel, but at least the check out staff was quite attentive and the food speaks for itself. You have to order take out by 4:30 p.m., so plan early. We laughed that there was enough food for two meals, but surprisingly, not a bite was left since everything was so delicious.īecause of Covid concerns, we ordered our meal as take-out. Finally, the Grouper was prepared just right, as well, served on a tasty bed of Parmesan risotto. The accompanying corn and black eye pea succotash was delicious. The Catfish was cooked to perfection, tender, moist and flaky inside a lightly crunchy pecan crust. Tuna was quite fresh and cooked rare served on a bed of Hoppin' John. The four of us had either the Yellowfin Tuna, Bronze Gulf Grouper or Pecan Fried Catfish. Restaurants with Outdoor Seating in Orange BeachĪfter several rather good but not great seafood meals in Orange Beach, we splurged at Cobalt for our last night of vacation. ![]() Restaurants for Special Occasions in Orange Beach.Restaurants for Group Dining in Orange Beach.Kid Friendly Restaurants in Orange Beach.Food Delivery Restaurants in Orange Beach.Gluten Free Restaurants in Orange Beach.Cajun Restaurants for Families in Orange Beach.Cajun & Creole Restaurants in Orange Beach.American Restaurants for Special Occasions in Orange Beach.Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.Wyndham Grand Cancun All Inclusive Resort & Villas.Hotels near (PNS) Pensacola Regional Airport.Hotels near Orange Beach Waterfront Park.Hotels near Orange Beach Welcome Center.Orange Beach Hotels with Air Conditioning.Hotels with Private Beach in Orange Beach.InterContinental (IHG) Hotels in Orange Beach.
